Do you know anyone who design websites? Yes the nerdy kind. Well lately I met one & made the mistake of staying too long in a conversation with him. Now Nerdy thought I am his best buds!
He kept telling me his big plans, a big project that will completely revolutionized how we consume news- I was like- huh??? people still read news?? LOL. Pete & Josh were 'encouraging' him !
According to him, currently all news is top down. Some fascist corporation decides what's the most impt story, sends someone to report it, who then serves up all the Murdoch lies to the trusting public. Imagine challenging that! The internet allows it. Imagine millions of readers writing up whatever they might have just witness around the world, uploading their pictures & video footage & text. Millions more are searching clicking on to stories that interest them & hey bingo! The story with the most hits becomes the main item of news on the world's most democratic & unbiased news outlet .
I was thinking ...wow... hardly original right? think youtube. Plus how do you know the news is true & not made-up. He was surprise at that & said well 'if its made up, other people outside will comment & the story will quickly lose credibility . Or they can re-edit it themselves- its like Wikipedia. but for current affairs.'
Hmmm.....
I recently lost weight after taking Garbaslim fat burner, my friends took panbesy & duromine to lose theirs. I did levitating photography & had a blast, ate the delicious Garret's popcorn till I gain weight...lol...., saw Psy in MBS & Big Bang Alive Galaxy tour- so awesome..... I really wanted to see those weird pink slugs in Australia, and MUCH more......

Youth Problems ??? But I need my Iphone 6 anyways ...lol...
The usual complain about the youth of today seems to fall into 2 main groups- or at least the "adults" around us have us believe.
Essentially, we provide our kids with
whatever they want that is within our financial ability to do so. The concept
of “earning” what you get or the idea that something “you don’t need” seem to
have been lost and discarded. In Amercia , the average adult
is $15,000 in debt at any given time. Thank God, we are still not there yet, but we do have a mentality of getting what we
want and when we want it that has been ingrained in us since childhood. The
unfortunate result is that there are devastating consequences for such
continued behavior later in life.
Growing up too fast
There was a time when kids enjoyed
being kids. Today, even at the earliest of ages, children are partaking in
adult activities with serious consequences. Similar to what we see with alcohol
and drugs, sex is a very popular and portrayed subject matter. The movies, TV,
the internet, essentially everywhere a kid turns he or she is bombarded with
sexual suggestions.
In Amercia , there are entire TV series
marketed directly to kids dealing with sex – e.g. The Secret
Lives of an American Teenager and Teen Mom, to name two. Music is a culprit as
well. Songs have always had sexual innuendos, but at least “back in the day”
you had to be old enough to understand them. Today, it’s all about “How low can
you go” and “baby let me sex you up.” Kids are having sex as early as 10 and
11, with teen pregnancies increasingly on the rise. The concept of childhood is
literally being wiped out. Here in the east, our numbers could be lower but we are getting there!
Materialism
We live in a society that promotes
materialism and so we perpetuate this particular malady by instilling bad
habits into our children. We teach our children that the measure of success and
happiness in life is how much stuff you have. Kids naturally want things
–especially if their friends have something similar. Unfortunately, there seems
to be little restraint on accompanying guidance as we go about this.

So are these really problems? The answer is YES to at least materialism. Christmas is round the corner, though I've not make any money yet, I'm looking forward to upgrading my IPhone 5G to 6 !!! It's like what's the problem here....haha... You might think it's a lot of money, but my dad thinks that I should have the latest gadget. Anyway I have an aunt who's still single & she is my Santa Claus :)). She's getting me the prized phone.

Students drinking problems.
We went to a party last weekend & a couple of my buddies sort of had too much to drink. One had a very bad hang-over, splitting headache & all, another vomiting much. Both vow not to touch booze anymore.
Well they were lucky as drinking so much could be dangerous. I remember reading about this story last yr , about a university student (21yrs old) who is studying business and management at Hull University . She went on a night out with friends in York and downed more drinks than normal, thanks to a special offer & probably giving in to peer pressure.

I remember reading about this story last yr , about a university student (21yrs old) who is studying business and management at Hull University . She went on a night out with friends in York and downed more drinks than normal, thanks to a special offer & probably giving in to peer pressure.
After all the
drinking, she started a 24-hour period of vomiting and retching, which caused
damage to her throat. She was taken to hospital. Doctors noticed her facial swelling and
discovered her windpipe was torn. The injury resulted in a condition known as
subcutaneous emphysema, in which air becomes trapped in a layer of skin. She spent
the next six days in hospital, not eating or drinking, as her throat healed.
The
main danger of drinking alcoholic drinks is the alcohol itself and its effect
on your brain and your body. It doesn’t
much matter whether you drink it in wine, beer, spirits or anything else – the
alcohol is what causes the effect on your brain and your body. And the more
you have, the more dangerous it becomes. So friends if you are reading this, no more over doing it OK?

Ivy League Students- Out of Control !!!
Have you heard of this? Harvard and Cornell universities
have joined Yale University and Dartmouth College in cracking down on
out-of-control behavior as drinking, hazing and sexual harassment endanger
students and tarnish Ivy League reputations.
Dartmouth, based in Hanover, New Hampshire, was rocked by a
hazing scandal in January when then-senior Andrew Lohse wrote about eating
omelettes made from vomit and other degrading rituals at Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Can
you imagine that?????
Harvard faculty voted last yr to require registration of parties and ban
drinking games, and Cornell ordered fraternities to have live-in advisers. This
fall, Dartmouth began security checks at Greek houses and Princeton University
banned freshmen from joining them.
The moves are the latest effort to regulate campus behavior
since rules controlling students -- known as in loco parentis -- were abolished
in the 1960s. Disobedience crested last year for Ivy League schools, which cost
more than $50,000 a year to attend. A Dartmouth hazing article detailed rituals
involving bodily fluids. A Cornell student died of alcohol poisoning, and Yale
was hit with a discrimination complaint after fraternity members chanted “No
means yes! Yes means anal!”
Colleges have been in an arms race to prove to students that
they’re cool and give more freedom than the others. Now, maybe the pendulum is
starting to swing the other way. College
students have come to equate the absence of boundaries with fun. That, combined
with large amounts of alcohol easily available on campus, can skew students’
sense of what is acceptable or even normal.
Oh Boy... we see it all in movies, wonder how it's like if one is really there? Singapore's uni life is so tame compared to them. However who wants to eat vomit omelettes anyway?

My take on beauty & make-up
Beauty Secrets Every Teen or Young Person Should Know-
4. Less is more Ever notice how some of your friends look best with no makeup at all? No matter your age, too much makeup makes you look worse. If you wear foundation, powder, blush, liner, mascara, eyeshadow, lip liner and gloss on an everyday basis, then you're overdoing it. Tone it down: All you really need is a great mascara, concealer for blemishes and gloss. Add a pop of blush when you are in the mood….lol….
5. Natural hair is always hot If you have super dark hair, lighten your look by going a shade lighter or getting lighter highlights. We see too many teens lightening their hair several shades and the look can be super-tacky, not super-fabulous. The trick is to let people assume you were born with natural beautiful hair, not that you gave yourself a bad dye job from a bottle.
10. Remember: Beauty is mostly internal Think about a girl you know who's overweight yet all the guys love her. Why? Because she's confident. If you aren't wearing makeup and your toes haven't been repainted in weeks, if you're happy and smiling you will still be 10 times prettier than the mopey cheerleader sitting next to you in class. Trust us (wink).
I’ve read tons of fashion magazines & 1000s of beauty tips, tried 1000s of products, but only a few are worth keeping around. So, here I share with you what I thought is worth keeping
1. Skip the foundation If you have acne the first thing you want to do is slather on the thick foundation. Don't. Foundation is for OLDER women. Not only will it cover up your natural beauty, but foundation on a teenager looks anything but natural. Instead, cover up blemishes with concealer, then follow with a powder or tinted moisturiser. Tinted moisturisers tend to be lighter than heavy foundations. Or just use 2 way cake- that's enough!
2. You pat concealer in, you never rub it in. When applying concealer, put a bit on the pad of your middle finger and pat it in. Never rub. Got acne? Pat the concealer on top of it.

3. Play up your lips or your eyes, never both If you are wearing heavy eye makeup, go for nude lips with just a bit of gloss. Prefer the drama of dark lipstick? Keep face light (stay away from heavy blush) and wear only mascara on your eyes and a light eyeshadow. Don't heavily line your eyes. Play up both and you'll look like a clown.
And never, ever line lips in a darker colour than your gloss or lipstick. 4. Less is more Ever notice how some of your friends look best with no makeup at all? No matter your age, too much makeup makes you look worse. If you wear foundation, powder, blush, liner, mascara, eyeshadow, lip liner and gloss on an everyday basis, then you're overdoing it. 6. Acne? Go to a doctor!!!! Biggest mistake people with acne make? Not going to a skin doc. Getting rid of those pimples will be the best investment you'll ever make. And the only guaranteed way to do it is with a doc.
7. When can you skip sunscreen ? Never. The first beauty product you should apply every day is sunscreen, even if it's cloudy or rainy outside. Why? Good habits start young and if you use sunscreen now, you'll have gorgeous skin when you're 50, 60, 70. Remember, the sun's UV rays can penetrate clouds and car windows.
8. Don't line the inside of your eyes It will make your eyes appear smaller. Instead, line just at the lash line. Also, an obvious line doesn't look natural. Smudge the line just a bit.
9. Know your best feature and play it up. What feature do people comment on most? Play it up. If you're told you have Angelina Jolie lips, make sure to wear gloss and play with bold lipstick colors. If it's your eye color people love, find eyeshadow colors that complement them and make sure to wear mascara. Also, know what color shirts look best on you and go shopping. What do you think of Pink Slugs????
Have you seen them? Hundreds
of giant, fluorescent pink slugs, popping out on Mount Kaputar, a 5,000-foot peak in the
Nandewar Range in northern New South Wales.
Scientists believe the eye-catching organisms are survivors
from an era when Australia was home to rainforests. A series of volcanoes,
millions of years of erosion and other geological changes "have carved a
dramatic landscape at Mount Kaputar," the park service wrote on its
Facebook page, and unique arid conditions spared the slugs from extinction.
They "probably would have long since vanished, if a
volcano had not erupted at Mount Kaputar about 17 million years ago. The result
of that eruption is a high-altitude haven for invertebrates and plant species
that have been isolated for millions of years, after Australia dried out and
the rainforests receded.
I cant wait to see them !
So people, our nextr holiday destination : Australia, New South Wales???
